Building Tour: Library
The
SSA library is an outstanding educational resource located on the first floor.
The library's collection covers all aspects of social welfare and social work
as well as related material from other disciplines.
The SSA library contains over 32,000 volumes, including serials, journals, and reference works. It also holds a large collection of microfilms and pamphlets and publications of governmental and voluntary agencies.
Assigned readings for all SSA classes are located here. Library staff is available to help students locate appropriate material in the SSA library on the internet or elsewhere in the University of Chicago Library. Orientation tours for new students are conducted each Autumn quarter.
The
SSA library is a convenient and comfortable place for student's research, writing,
and other projects.
