Eric Johnson
2000 Recipient of the Elizabeth Butler Award
Eric Johnson speaks broadly about juvenile justice, parent child conflict, absentee fathers and single moms raising children. His passion is driven by the need to increase awareness and understanding about societal injustice, paternal impact on child-development, and how father- absence contributes to the destruction of families and the community as a whole.
His humorous, story-telling approach, acts to coat the very stark realities embedded within his message on the impact of violence, mental illness and imprisonment of youth, on child-development and family dynamics.
As a Public Speaker and Child Welfare Professional his tireless efforts spans over 40 years. He is the Executive Director of Neighbor to Family Inc., Illinois, and Co-Founder of the Cultural Enrichment Center and Johnson and Johnson Consulting-CFLS .
His tireless work has earned him the:

- North Lawndale Planning Committee 2010 Geneva Bey Award for Outstanding Community Service.
Mr. Johnson holds a BA in Social Work from San Diego State University and an MSW from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy and Practice.
