The 2013 EINet Conference was held November 15 at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center. EINet is the SSA's Employment Instability, Family Well-being, and Social Policy Network (EINet). This policy forum summarized research evidence on the interaction between employment instability and the safety net: How does employment instability affect safety net program eligibility and take-up? How effectively do safety net programs reduce employment instability or help to buffer families against employment instability? What are the gaps in our understanding of these questions?
