Mark Courtney to receive Distinguished Career Achievement Award

The Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) will present the Distinguished Career Achievement Award to Professor Mark Courtney at its annual conference, January, 14-18, 2015, in New Orleans, LA. 

Recipients of the Distinguished Career Achievement Awards have cumulative career accomplishments in social work research that have set them apart, and their contributions have advanced the state of social work research and its utilization. 

All recipients exhibit outstanding scholarship, a rigorous approach to social work research, innovation, a major impact in a substantive area, and a major contribution to the social work profession. All have a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in social work/social welfare and/or are a faculty member (current or emeritus) in a social work program.
