To&Through Data Spotlight - Cultivate: Exploring Student Mindsets Through Survey

Join us for a presentation on the Cultivate Survey with Camille Farrington, Director of the Equitable Learning & Development Group at the UChicago Consortium, and Elliot Ransom, Co-CEO of UChicago Impact, as they share a new survey being used across CPS called Cultivate. The Cultivate Survey builds on research showing that classroom learning conditions influence students’ mindsets about themselves as learners and the strategies they use to meet academic demands. The survey provides teachers with data about students’’ mindsets, strategies, and perceptions of their classroom experiences, so they can prioritize strategies for better supporting student engagement in school.

In response to suggestions from audience members, immediately following the webinar, we will host an optional, half-hour Zoom meeting for attendees to come together in breakout rooms and reflect on what they heard. At this post-event discussion, you will explore a reflection question posed by the featured presenters with fellow audience members, whose roles span across district central offices, nonprofits, higher education institutions, and more.
