The fellowship program has been developed for mental health professionals who seek to deepen their understanding of contemporary psychodynamic thought and apply comparative perspectives in clinical practice. It provides structured opportunities for participants to enlarge their understanding of orienting perspectives, core concepts, and essential concerns in psychodynamic understanding and practice, and to consider the relevance of differing points of view in their work.
A small cohort of participants and distinguished faculty work together to study and learn ways of enriching their clinical practice. In doing so, we explore the practitioner's own stages of development as a professional and consider the ways in which we shape our clinical careers over time. We integrate theories and personal elements through presentation of clinical work in ongoing case consultations.
The course of study encompasses the following domains of concern:
The program consists of seven courses and eight clinical case consultations. All classes and case consultations will be held on Fridays from 9:00 am to Noon.
