Continuing Education (CEUs)

The Professional Development Program at SSA is a licensed State of Illinois provider of continuing education (CEUs) for social workers (LSW/LCSW), marriage and family therapists (MFT), and professional counselors (LPC/LCPC). The University of Chicago is an approved provider of continuing professional development units (CPDUs). Please specify that you are requesting CPDUs on your registration form. Some workshops offer credits for CADC licensed professionals applied for through IAODAPCA. See course descriptions.

At the end of each session, participants will receive a certificate granting continuing education credits for the workshop. One CEU is awarded for every classroom contact hour, as noted in the workshop description. Tuition must be paid in full before the certificates are issued. In order to preserve the integrity of the learning experience and to comply with the state’s certification requirements, attendance for the full session is expected, and participants will receive continuing education credits only for hours of actual attendance.

Replacement or duplicate certificates can be provided for a $15.00 fee. Duplicate certificates will not be issued for courses attended before 2007.
