Four outstanding master's level social work students from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai, India were in residence at SSA in October and November. Marilyn B. Rusnak AM '71 continues to provide outstanding support for this exchange program. The four TISS students were: Gayathri Krishna, Pooja Chavan, Shibili Shahadathi, and Vineetha Venugopal. They attended classes at SSA, shadowing a few SSA students in their field placements, and participating in other SSA events for the duration of their exchange program. They also presented on November 17 a cross-cultural comparison of social work, urban poverty, and community development in Mumbai, India and Chicago based on their experiences in the SSA classroom and field placements.
