Complete your UChicago undergraduate and graduate degrees in 5 years instead of 6.
University of Chicago College students should consult with their AB/AM adviser in the College and the Director of Admissions at SSA early in their third year. You’ll need a GPA of 3.25 or higher, have completed your general education requirements, and have no more than two courses remaining in your College major. Those two courses may be taken during the Autumn and Winter quarters of the fourth year.
AB/AM students take nine courses in their fourth year: seven SSA Core courses and two SSA electives. Students also work during the academic year in a field placement (a graded and evaluated internship). Joint residence status begins three quarters prior to the anticipated date of College graduation, during which time tuition is charged at SSA’s graduate rates.
