Professional Development

SSA alumni receive a 20% discount on any workshop or lecture offered through the Professional Development Program. Whether you’re interested in continuing education credits or simply want to deepen your knowledge in a specific area (Spanish for social workers, for example), consult the schedule or register today.

Be a Mentor or Field Instructor

SSA alumni are the best mentors and teachers of SSA students. Here are some ways you can support the next generation of social workers:

  • Volunteer to offer informational interviews through Career Services
  • Help out with Washington Week or volunteer to host a student through the Summer Shadows Program
  • Become a field instructor or suggest your organization as a field agency

Recruit SSA Grads

You know the quality and rigor of an SSA education, and the impact on SSA-prepared social worker can have on your organization and it serves. Contact Career Services to post a job,  attend our Spring Career Fair, or engage in other on-campus recruiting and mentoring activites.

Give to SSA

Show your support for SSA and its historic mission by making a gift to the SSA Fund. Your gift, no matter the amount, will make a difference in the education of our students and in the agencies and programs across the globe where they learn from field placements and work as alumni.
