The Alumni Association implements programs and accomplishes many tasks through its committee volunteers. Alumni who wish to get involved in the SSA Alumni Association may contact the committee chairs listed or the Alumni Association Office.

  • African American Alumni Committee - The African American Alumni Committee seeks to establish connections among African American alumni and engage this underrepresented segment with the School. Chair: Monico Whittington-Eskridge
  • Awards Committee – The Awards Committee reviews and selects alumni to serve on the Alumni Association Board of Directors and presents the candidates to the Alumni Association for election. The Committee also solicits and reviews candidates and selects recipients for the Edith Abbott Lifetime Achievement Award and the Elizabeth Butler Award honoring recent graduates of the School in alternating years.   • Latino Alumni Committee - Founded in early 2012, the Latino Alumni Committee was created both as a platform to acknowledge SSA Alumni of Latino descent, and to support the Latino SSA student body.  The Committee provides a space for peer networking, educational and professional development, and an opportunity to discuss various career opportunities for our past, present, and future SSA students. Lead Organizing Alumni: Crystal Gonzales and Jonathan Sanchez-Leos
  • Networking and Professional Development Committee – The Networking and Professional Development Committee plans activities which facilitate professional networking among alumni and between alumni and students. Co-Chairs: Kristen Anderson and Eric Brown
  • Recruitment Committee - The Recruitment Committee engages and recruits alumni volunteers for future consideration on the Board. Committee members assist with marketing and publicizing the nominations process as well as reviewing candidates and selecting future Board members. According to the Alumni Association bylaws, this committee consists of two Alumni Board members and three members of the Alumni Association (non-Board member alumni). Interim Chair: Patricia Molloy
