Associate Professor Dexter Voisin spoke to WBEZ about the stabilization of HIV infection rates; each year, about 55,000 new cases are reported. But infection among some minority populations continues at a disproportionate rate--up to eight and ten times higher. Voisin and his colleagues at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration SHINE Network held a conference November 16 and 17 examining HIV rates.
