Your career planning should begin the day you're admitted to the Crown Family School. We have our own Office of Career in addition to UChicago Grad that offers personalized and tailored student resources, training workshops and networking events. The Office of Career and Leadership Development provides career and professional development and enhancing programs for master's and doctoral students that include skills-building workshops, individual career counseling, job-search strategies, leadership development programming, and posting of jobs in the Chicago area.

The areas that will guide students in career planning, development, and exploration have been designed and established to foster an educational career experience that encompasses a holistic perspective. They include Career Education, Leadership Development and Career Experiences.

Career Education provides tools and resources that will guide students in learning, preparing, and planning for professional opportunities during and after their time at Crown Family.

As we prepare students to be socially engaged scholars and practitioners Leadership Development will play a critical role in exposing and challenging students on topics and content that impact and affect the work in the field.

Real life and hands on experience are essential in the Career Experiences realm. They expose students to experiential learning avenues that allow first hand insight and knowledge while building relationships and networks in the field now and after your time with us.
