Dean of Students

The Office of the Dean of Students is committed to providing a positive academic experience for all students in the Crown Family School. We believe in a student-first philosophy, and offer support, advocacy, and advising--from the admissions process, through graduation, and beyond. Our office oversees: admissions and financial aid; registration; administration of academic and student life policies; monitoring of students’ academic progress; orientation and commencement; and support of career planning and professionalization activities. Detailed information regarding these areas is located on our website, and many documents and forms for students are posted on the MySSA portal.

Visit these pages for more information about DACA and immigration and supports for students and mySSA for the Student Handbook. The University also has an additional handbook, the Student Manual: University Policies and Regulations .

In the Office of the Dean of Students of the Crown Family School, we have an open door policy. If you have questions, concerns, or would like to set up a meeting with anyone on our team, please contact our office directly at 773.702.1135 or dos@ssa.uchicago.edu.
